Customer Spotlight

Hello Everyone, Tricia here with my blog post debut! I was lucky enough to surf through Lyndsay's gallery at Scrap Orchard and see all the amazing layouts created with her kits. Let me tell you it was SO much fun and gave me tons of inspiration for layouts I will be creating soon. This month a certain layout created by none other then **Holly** really jumped out at me. Seriously, look at it.. Adorbs!

Linked for full credits & to give Holly some love

I also had the pleasure of picking at Holly's brain for a bit. Here's what she had to say...

What is your username/name: Holly and **Holly**

Tell us a little about yourself: I am a single mom to a wonderful crazy 5.5 yr old son named Kaden. You can pretty much see him on every single page I create lol. I dabble into designing too but I still love scrapping. I am also a photographer trying to make it big in the real world... a girl can dream right?!

How long have you been scrapping: I have been digiscrapping since April 2008 and have just fallin in love with the community and the people.

What is your favorite Lyndsay Riches kit:
Love Affair for sure! http://scraporchard.com/market/produ...4&cat=0&page=1 I just love the colors and patterns so much!

Holly! Thank you so much for letting me bug you and I hope you enjoy shopping at Lyndsay's store with the voucher you received. So everyone keep posting those wonderful layouts because you just never know when the spotlight with shine on you!! Have a great day!

Card Roundup

Hi, everyone, Rachel (rach3975) here. I love making hybrid cards. It’s a great excuse to play with all my scrapping supplies, and it prevents the last minute dash to the store when I realize at the eleventh hour that I forgot to buy a card. (Why do I ALWAYS do that?) With 3 kids, a last minute dash to the computer is much more realistic! Today I’m going to share a few cards that I’ve seen in the galleries using Lyndsay’s kits and a couple that I made this week.

Teen boys can be so hard to scrap for. Thankfully I’m still years away from having a teenaged son (big sigh of relief!), but when I do I’m planning to copy this edgy idea from Yardybunch.

She used Lyndsay’s Urban Boyz Minikit for the invites.

This next “card” is a sweet gift and card in one. Laura Banasiak collaborated with Lyndsay on the 2 Peas in a Pod Collab, and she created this box with the kit. I’m going to be looking for an excuse to make something like this soon!

Two of my kids’ friends are having birthday parties next week. Thanks to this blog post, I get to avoid that last minute card-making frenzy x2!

This first card is for a seventh birthday. I don’t spend a lot of time on cards for the kids’ friends since I assume it won’t be long until they hit the recycling bin. For quick birthday cards, it’s hard to beat Lyndsay’s Party Like It’s Your Birthday! kit. It’s perfect for boy or girl cards (and layouts too, of course). The cupcake on this is raised with double sided foam mounting tape, but I couldn’t get the dimension to show in the photo.

Next up is a card for my daughter’s friend, who is turning 2.

I used Mommy Deerest, a collab with Meghan Mullens.

If you scrap any cards or other hybrid projects using Lyndsay’s products, be sure to post them in the Lyndsay Riches gallery at Scrap Orchard so we can leave you some love. (Not to mention that we’re always on the lookout for great projects to feature in our monthly hybrid post!)

Meet Lyndsay's CT: Rachel

Hey Lyndsay Loves! CT member Kala here giving you this month's edition of Meet the CT. I have been given the delightful task of spotlighting Rachel (aka rachnmaddie) for March! Let's find out a little more about her...

1: Your Name: Rachel, Rachie, Ray-Ray

2: Your Photo: 3. How long you've been on Lyndsay's team?
Since June of 2010. I started out as a guest and was uber-tickled to stay (ok, that sounded skeevy.... not uber-tickled, but joyfully delighted!)

4. Your favorite Lyndsay product

5. Your favorite layout created using Lyndsay's stuffs:

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration?
Different things, sometimes it's the pictures that I take. I love taking close-ups of my daughters' features and sometimes I get excited to scrap those pics. Sometimes it's a kit and I get anxious to use a certain element or paper.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
It depends. I usually start with a picture in mind and build from there.

8. Your favorite snack/drink while you scrap
Always some sort of pop. If you are wondering what pop is.... it's a soda. I love snacking while I scrap, especially on something chocolatey!

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody???
Hmmm. I love reality television, and I scrap while I watch my DVR'd shows (shame!), but I am a multi-tasker :)

10. A link to your SO gallery
http://scraporchard.com/gallery/show...me=rachnmaddie

Now you can go take a peek at Rachel's fabulous gallery and show that gal some love! I bet she'll be tickled pink!

Happy Wednesday!

Kala

Behind the Page with Sarah

For my behind the page post I decided to do this layout that I just recently scrapped of one of my favorite photos from our wedding. Our wedding was over five years ago now! I have scrapped a few pages from our wedding however I feel like every time I see that I have grown as a scrapper, I find pages that I just want to re-do or have ideas that I hadn't had before.

Lyndsay's kit A Love Affair totally inspired me to find this picture with the greenery. These pictures mean so much to me that I think I was afraid to scrap them in the beginning, afraid that I just wouldn't get it right.

My husband and I have a history with Laguna Beach. We started attending the Pageant of the Masters a year or so into dating and decided to make it a yearly tradition. We always go down for the day and walk around then go to the show at dusk. The first show we went to is when we started talking about marriage. We found this perfect spot over looking the beach and I just couldn't get it off of my mind. We got engaged about 6 months later and did our engagement pictures in Laguna. About 6 months after that we were married in that exact special spot surrounded by 50 of our closest friends and family. It was truly a magical day. The picture in the layout shows part of the romance of it all. For the past five years we have gone to Laguna to celebrate our anniversary. We usually celebrate a bit early so that we can also go to the show that helped our relationship to blossom.

On another note, I wanted to add that I am a bit of an odd scrapper, it seems. I always fill my page with elements before I pick out my paper. This kit from Lyndsay had so many beautiful ellies that I just wanted to use them all! So there you have it, the real story behind my page!

Wednesday CT Find!

Hi everyone, Di here!
I wanted to pop in today to tell you all about my latest addiction! There's every chance you've heard of it...because it is really humming! It's called Pinterest. And I'd describe it as a massive cyber pinboard where you can pin pictures of everything fab you find around the digiworld for you and all your friends to admire! Craft, colour, design, clothes, shoes (my favourite), recipes.....the list of what you can 'pin' is endless.

So hurry over and take a look. But let me warn you...there is LOADS of inspiration, and it is SUPER addicting!

Enjoy!
