Lyndsay's kit A Love Affair totally inspired me to find this picture with the greenery. These pictures mean so much to me that I think I was afraid to scrap them in the beginning, afraid that I just wouldn't get it right.
My husband and I have a history with Laguna Beach. We started attending the Pageant of the Masters a year or so into dating and decided to make it a yearly tradition. We always go down for the day and walk around then go to the show at dusk. The first show we went to is when we started talking about marriage. We found this perfect spot over looking the beach and I just couldn't get it off of my mind. We got engaged about 6 months later and did our engagement pictures in Laguna. About 6 months after that we were married in that exact special spot surrounded by 50 of our closest friends and family. It was truly a magical day. The picture in the layout shows part of the romance of it all. For the past five years we have gone to Laguna to celebrate our anniversary. We usually celebrate a bit early so that we can also go to the show that helped our relationship to blossom.
On another note, I wanted to add that I am a bit of an odd scrapper, it seems. I always fill my page with elements before I pick out my paper. This kit from Lyndsay had so many beautiful ellies that I just wanted to use them all! So there you have it, the real story behind my page!

I'm new to digi scrapping and was wondering if you could point me to a tutorial on how you make the background page a picture like you did in this layout? I just love this look but don't know where to begin. I use PSE9. Thank you.
Col, I don't use Photoshop, but with the program I use, it's just a matter of messing with the transparency of the photo. You use a paper on the bottom layer, then put the photo on top, changing the effects of the photo until it's at the transparency you want it at. Hope that helps!
