May Customer Spotlight!

Hello everyone! **Holly** here with my first Lyndsay blog post! I was so excited to get to pic this months customer spotlight and found Karen32 while browsing the gallery! Here is what she had to say!

Tell me a little about yourself!

I am a 38 year old, stay at home mom of 2 boys. My oldest will be 12 soon and my youngest just turned 10. We live in colorful Colorado and when I am not scrapbooking I love to be outdoors enjoying the mountains. I have paper scrapped for years, but finally tried digital scrapping last November and quickly got hooked! I also do full time daycare for my nieces (7 and 4 years old) and another 2 year old. Before my kids were born I was an accountant and can definitely see myself doing something like that again in the next few years, probably when my youngest niece goes to kindergarten.

What is your favorite Lyndsay Riches kit?
My favorite Lyndsay Riches' kits that are currently in my stash are Boy Oh Boy and Urban Boyz.

I would love to get A Love Affair, Mommy Deerest and Playful.

How did you discover Scrap Orchard/Lyndsay Riches?
Shortly after I started scrapping I saw something on facebook for Project: Love, Me by SuzyQ Scraps and Ziggle Designs at Scrap Orchard. I loved all the stuff at the Orchard, Lyndsay and the other designers do such an amazing job. Boy Oh Boy was my first kit by Lyndsay and I remember going onto the Orchard forums and raving about it.

What are your favorite elements to use when scrapping?
I absolutely love papers, both patterned and solid. I usually decide whether or not to buy a kit based on the papers and their color palette. I also love swirls and scrolls and flowers. I am so thankful I have nieces to scrap and not just my boys, because they don't like the flowery stuff so much. :)

Show me your favorite layouts using Lyndsay's kits!

Thanks for letting me interview you!

If you would like to be featured be sure to keep uploading those pages to Lyndsay's gallery and you might be next!

April Customer Spotlight!

Hey there scrappers! Sarah here to bring this months customer spotlight! This month we are getting to know Ramona (the pest). I think her screen name is funny because, in my opinion, she is one of the least pesty and one of the nicest people around digiland! Let's get to the good stuff! (I must add that great minds think alike in that Ellie featured a project from Ramona in one of the latest blog posts and we didn't plan to be all matchy matchy!)

What is your username/name?
Ramona the pest

How long have you been scrapping?
I have been scrapping for about 16 years, but turned to digital scrapping about 4 years ago.

What is your favorite thing about digiscrapping?
I LOVE that my kids can't get into it! I also love that I can print a book, but still have a digital copy. When my son (now 12) was 3, he took his paper scrapped album outside and left it in the sprinklers. I was devastated and am still trying to recreate his book! With digital, I will never have to worry about that again.

Describe your ideal scrapping environment:
A quiet house, some chocolate to snack on and about 3 great kits to inspire me!

What is your favorite Lyndsay product?
I love Lyndsay's work! Picking a favorite kit is almost impossible. However, I ADORE her newest kit:
(note: the store is down at the time of this post but find this kit at Scrap Orchard in Lyndsay's Store)

I had to buy it immediately when I saw it in her newsletter! I can't wait to scrap with it!

Tell us a little about yourself:
I have 6 great kids who are the inspiration in all my layouts! I have been married for 15 1/2 years to my best friend and the love of my life! My favorite hobby (besides scrapping) is writing and although life is pretty busy now, someday I hope to finish at least one of the novels rattling around in my brain! I am also blessed with a son who has special needs. He has shaped me and tested me and taught me to love in a way I never thought possible. As a result, I find myself with a great love and passion for children who are born with extra challenges!

For fun, what are 3-5 things you can touch right now?
An empty Sobe lifewater bottle (my drink of choice), my camera (waiting to have Easter photos uploaded) and my 2 year old's new t-ball set (waiting to be put together)

Here are some of Ramona's inspiring projects:

Thank you for letting us get to know you better, Ramona! Remember to keep uploading those layouts and projects to Lyndsay's gallery at Scrap Orchard and you could be in the spotlight next!

Customer Spotlight!

Hi all! Sarah (aka zachandavasmom) here to bring you our Customer Spotlight post. This week we are putting the spotlight on redutedaisy! She has some super cute layouts in the gallery!

What is your name? Screenname?
Jennifer(I usually go by Jen), redutedaisy

How long have you been scrapping? What program do you use?
Hmmm, I've been scrapping for about 9 years, but started doing digital exclusively about four years ago. I first started using Memory Mixer because Photoshop intimidated me. But then I learned PSE last year, starting with using templates, and now I'm an addict!

What is your favorite thing about digi scrapping?
I love that I can move things around and change my mind. I use to spend hours on layouts in paper scrapbooking because I took forever to commit to things! I also love that you can use things over and over again, and share albums with family. And I love doing hybrid projects. I create cards, handouts for my church group, decorations, mini albums... The sky's the limit!

Describe your ideal scrapping environment (music, drink, desk, couch, etc).
I usually have Josh Groban or One Republic going, a nice tall Big Gulp with Coke, sitting at my desk with a plate of cheese fries. Mmmmm....

What is your favorite Lyndsay Riches product and why?
I am in love with the Love Affair kit. The mixture of the greens with the black and white is so romantic. The "A Little Sunny Mini" kit has been a lot of fun to work with too-it's so cheerful! Honestly, all of her designs are full of fun colors, cute elements, and are so versatile. I'm working my way through buying the store! :)

Share your favorite LO created with Lyndsay's stuffs.
I just did one with the "Love Affair" kit with my husband and I. It's our favorite picture, taken when we were dating. The picture means a lot to us and I wanted to create a page that we could turn into a canvas wall art print. This kit was absolutely perfect for it!

(I had to add this one, Jen! It's so precious!)
What are your top 3 favorite foods?
Cheese, french fries, and strawberries

What is your favorite movie and/or TV show?
Oh, goodness! I have a lot of fav's but one that never gets old is "Ever After" and "Phantom of the Opera". My favorite TV shows are "Lie to Me", "American Idol", and "Royal Pains". I will admit too that I do watch "The Bachelor"!

Tell us a little more about yourself.
I am a work from home mommy to a fun little 19 month old boy. He's pretty much the subject of every LO I do. My hubby and I have been married for five years. I love reading, playing the piano, dancing, cooking, crafting, napping, and I have a little business doing family, event, and wedding videography (filming events and then editing the footage).

(All images are linked so leave Jen some love!)

Thanks for letting us delve a bit into your life, Jen! I loved getting to know you better!

Remember, if you upload your layouts to Lyndsay's gallery at Scrap Orchard, we could pick you for our next spotlight!

Customer Spotlight!

Hi all! Yolanda here, bringing you today's Customer Spotlight. Our victim this time around is Tammy [aka tammybean]. Let's get to know her a bit, shall we?

1. Your screen name? Your real name? Tammy and on the forums I use tammybean, which is a mixture of my name and my big kitty Sydneybean, who is the queen bee of our home.

2. How long have you been scrapping? Which program do you use? I have been digi scrapping for about 3 years, and I am still as obsessed now as I was when I first started. I use a mixture of CS3 and Fireworks.

3. What is your favorite thing about digi scrap? I love the fact that I can create wonderful memories of my kiddos. I must admit however while I can do this paper style, I am so not a very creative person. Digi allows me to use a template, delete, use an element multiple times and change the kit up to my style. Plus did I mention I can use the delete key! I cant tell ya how many times I have started out a layout and it ended up totally different then when I first started.

4. Describe your ideal scrapping environment (music, drink, desk, couch, etc). I am a diet coke freak, so I usually have a diet coke next to me while I scrap. Also it all depends on my mood as to what my scrapping environment consist of. I do all my scrapping at my desk, sometimes I listen to music, other times I prefer to scrap in complete silence. One bad thing for me is I am easily distracted so you can usually find me on FB while I work on my layout.

5. What is your favorite Lyndsay Riches product and why? friendsdotcom is my favorite kit by Lyndsay, for someone who spends most of her time on the computer chatting with friends, checking mail and scrapping, it is the perfect kit. I love the bright fun colors and cute modern technology elements.

6. Share your favorite LO created with Lyndsay's stuffs.

7. What are your top 3 favorite foods? Salad, Lasagna and home made Cheeseburger Calzone (hubby makes this and it absolutely rocks!!).

8. What is your favorite movie and/or TV show? For TV, I absolutely LOVE True Blood (I am so ADDICTED...must watch every week, although I love the books 10x's more) and as for my favorite movie I would have to say The Ugly Truth (who doesnt love Gerard Butler).

9. Tell me a little more about yourself. I am a SAHM of three wild boys. Hubby and I are from NY, but moved to TN 4 years ago. When I am not in front of my computer scrapping or spending time with the family you can find me curled up somewhere with a book. I am so seriously obsessed with reading, I dont know which obsession is stronger that or scrapping.

10. So I hear it's your birthday today :o) Any fun plans to celebrate? Hubby is taking me out to lunch, and then we are going to see the newest Harry Potter at the theatres!

Thank you bunches for letting us pry, Tammy! And happy birthday to you! :o) For being a good sport, Tammy will receive a coupon to Lyndsay's store at Scrap Orchard - woot, woot! If you would like a chance at being spotlighted and earning a fab surprise, all you need to do is upload your layouts using Lyndsay Riches products to her gallery at SO. Easy, right? So hop to it! Maybe you'll be in the spotlight next time around ;o) Happy scrapping everybody!!

Customer Spotlight-September

It's time once again to browse through Lyndsay's gallery and see all the beautiful layouts that you fans have created! For this month's Customer Spotlight, I chose to highlight Leslea (forum name-ImAMAcGirl). Her layout, 'Portraits with Dirty Faces' really caught my eye! I love the big frame and the placement of her photo. The layered paper is the perfect touch.
(make sure you leave her some love!)

I asked her a few questions so that we could all get to know her a little better...

1. How long have you been scrapbooking? Has it only been digiscrap?
In 1998 - 99. I was in school for design and photography, and I had pictures, a scanner and PhotoShop 4. I began scanning my pics and putting them on together with elements I'd create for classwork assignments. After I graduated, I kept up with my 'picture journaling' as I called it until I discovered digiscrapping. Needless to say, a LOT of those layouts are in serious need of being redone. I didn't have access to all the cute stuff that's out now. I took a year off from scrapping, and coming back I am blown away by the talent of designers like Lindsay.

I'm actually a paper scrapper as well - going to a crop this Friday. I'm starting to dabble in hybrid too.

2. What drew you to the kit you used for this layout?
I had originally bought Friends Dot Com for the techie aspect of it. It's all girly, yet techie and that is just too darn cute. I had bought this for some pics I have of DD and her best friend - but it worked with this picture of my Mom and DD because when I unzipped the kit I fell in love with the frame. I still have LOTS of layouts left in this kit!! It is SO much fun!

3. What's you favorite kit of Lyndsay's?
The collabs she has now are amazing... AMAZING! I just bought another one earlier this week, and I can't wait to get to work with it. I've been eyeing "I've got a feelin'" because it's stinking cute and the colors are so great for me to use with all my kids. "Joyous Christmas" & "Sweet Sugar Holidays" are going to adorn some of my hybrid Christmas gifts I'll be doing. Those kits are so "Christmasy" but not traditional. LOVE that! Oh, and "Squeaky Clean" is next on the list - that kit is darling and I have some great pictures for it! I don't think that I could really pick one favorite.

4. What's your favorite thing about digital scrapbooking?
I love being able to SAVE and be done, and no mess to clean up and I ADORE the fact that I can use my products over and over and over again. I love all the communities, and being able to share my layouts and get feedback from the designers.

5. What do you love about Lyndsay's designs?
I love her color pallets. They are bright, fun and never boring. She always has a variety of elements, and I love the characters she puts in there and her papers aren't dull.

She was worried about being too wordy but I don't think there is such a thing lol! Thanks Leslea for letting us get to know you a little better and for using Lyndsay's designs. She'll be receiving a coupon to Lyndsay's store as a special 'Thank You'. Remember to keep posting your layouts using Lyndsay's products in her gallery. You never know who will be picked next!

Customer Spotlight

Hey ladies (and any gents out there)! I'm Britanee & I'm taking over Lyndsay's blog to spotlight one of her customers!! I took a wander, more like a leisurely stroll, through Lyndsay Riches Gallery today and found this 'super star' of a page-

This super cute page was made by Lucy! I asked her a few questions so we could get to know her a little bit more.

1. How long have you been scrapbooking? Has it only been digiscrap?
I've been scrapping since 2007 and only digital.

2. What drew you to the kit you used for this layout?
I loved the colours and had already used the kit twice. When I saw the photo I knew instantly which kit would be perfect for it.

3. What's you favorite kit of Lyndsay's?
I'm doing a layout now with "Allanah - Reloaded" and it's my new favourite. It was "Here Comes the Sun" all summer. "Playful" is on my wish list.

4. What's your favorite thing about digital scrapbooking?
The community that comes with it!

5. What do you love about Lyndsay's designs?
Her kits are just so easy to scrap with. Everything fits together so well and there's always lots to work with. She's a really talented artist and I love putting her designs with my pictures.

Thank you Lucy for answering those questions. Lucy will be receiving a voucher to Lyndsay Riches store! Remember to keep posting your layouts in Lyndsay's gallery and you just might be spotlighted next! See you next time :)

CUSTOMER SPOTLIGHT

Today I had the opportunity to chat with Sarah O. and get to know a little more about her and we thought we would share with you. Let's meet Sarah:

So Sarah how did you find the Scrap Orchard?
A friend introduced me and once I started looking around, I was hooked due to all of the gorgeousness!

How long have you been digi-scrapping?

I started digi-scrapping in 2008 when I realized that little fingers (my then toddler) were no good for traditional scrapbooking. I wasn't getting much done due to time. The set up and clean up took more time than the scrapping! Once I was shown digi-scrapping, I never looked back! I love having all of my supplies in my computer (and having paypal just in case I need some more!)

We would love to know a little more about you??
I live in Southern CA and am married to a wonderful man. We have two small children, (hence the screen name ZachandAvasmom). My other full time job is as a speech language pathologist at a special education preschool. I am blessed to live the life I do!

What is it about Lyndsay's kits that you love so much?
I love the bright colors and the fact that some focus on boys is a big plus!

Which kit by Lyndsay is your favorite and why?
My current favorite is Colour Me Boyish. I love that it compliments Colour Me Girly so that I can make almost matching pages for my children.

We would love to see your favorites layouts using Lyndsay's kits
(this first one is a scraplift of lorimart, but it was perfect for Zach's first day!)

Both of Sarah's favorite layouts were created with Colour Me Boyish

Which is your favorite scrapping program(s)? Photoshop Elements 6 and 8, depending what computer I am on.

Just for giggles, tell me the top 3 things you must have sitting beside you when you're digi-scrapping??
Usually my blackberry, the tv remote and my kids (not that I MUST have them there, but they usually are!)

Thanks for the wonderful chat Sarah and for giving us the opportunity to get to know you better. Just for participating and being such a wonderful customer Sarah will get a coupon to Lyndsay's store to say thanks!

Customer Spotlight

Lyndsay's kits are amazing! I think we all will agree! Every last one of her kits inspires us and even helps us preserve our memories in some way or another. Browsing through her gallery at Scrap Orchard was so much fun. WOW!! There are some really amazing layouts made with her kits!!
Today I get the privilege of seeking out a customer who has scrapped a layout using one of Lyndsay's products. I found this layout by Chelle aka Roxxygerlie.
She used this Squeaky Clean a collab by Lyndsay Riches Designs and Ziggle Designs for her layout!

I asked Chelle some questions that she was kind enough to answer.

What drew you to this particular kit? I have so many bath pictures that I need to scrap and I love the wonderful colors and the fun elements! How long have you been scrapping? I've been scrapping for a little over a year now!
Have you always been a digi scrapper or do you also paper scrap? I have never paper scrapped! I am not good with scissors and glue! Only Digi for me!
What are your favorite things to scrap about? I love to scrap pictures of my 2 and a half year old daughter. I think they'll be great memories for the both of us one day!
What are your favorite items to scrap with? I love flowers and ribbons. You can never have too many flowers and ribbons!

It was so fun to get to know a bit more about Chelle. Thanks Chelle, for taking the time to answer my questions. Roxxygerlie will get a coupon to Lyndsay's store to say thanks for participating.
