Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration? My kids, usually. A great picture usually screams at me to be scrapped and sometimes I love a kit so much that I just have to find a photo or take a photo that matches it!

Do you usually start with the picture or the paper? Usually the picture, but as I said, sometimes the kit just jumps out at me! I generally do elements first so that I can use them all then match the paper after. I know I am backwards!

Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap? I don't usually eat or drink, unless it is a glass of wine or maybe a beer.

Anything else you want to tell everybody????? I have a wonderful husband, two crazy kids (zach is 4.5 and ava is 3) and my terrier mix, Zave. I am so grateful that my husband helps so much or I would never have time to scrap on top of my two full time jobs (mom and speech pathologist at a special education preschool.)

Meet Kala !!!

Hi everyone! Rachel here for this month's Meet the CT. I hope you are enjoying the beginnings of Spring. It took long enough for it to get here, so every nice we get I am soaking up! We have alot of rain right now in Pittsburgh, so our sunny warm days are often interrupted, so I take what I can get when I get it!!!

In May we are featuring an incredible scrapper and all around sweet chica, Kala! I got together with Kala and asked her some questions. Here is what she had to say !!!

3. How long you've been on Lyndsay's team - I started out as a guest in August 2010 and was able to stick around after that! Yay!

4. Your favourite Lyndsay product - The minute I saw Berry Delightful, I knew I had to have it. I do a calendar for my mom and dad with all of their grand kids and using themes for the pictures. I'm always on the lookout for a kit to go with our berry picking pics and this one is PERFECT!

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration - I'm inspired by all those fantastic layout creators out there, and strive to do try something new regularly. I also like really making my photography pop - whether with photo editing, a beautiful subject, or a fab kit!

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper? - Picture. I'd say I change the paper an average of 4-5 times before I'm done.

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap - I usually scrap during nap time and need some kind of caffeine hit to get me through the rest of the day. It's either that or nap, and until I figure out how to nap and scrap at the same time, that will have to do!

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody????? - Pretty sure this is enough! ;)

My children. You will almost always find one of them in my pages. They are why I do this.

Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
I usually start with the kit/paper and then find a suitable picture for it.

Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap
Pepsi (or coffee, depending on the time of day) and something chocolatey!

Since June of 2010. I started out as a guest and was uber-tickled to stay (ok, that sounded skeevy.... not uber-tickled, but joyfully delighted!)

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration?
Different things, sometimes it's the pictures that I take. I love taking close-ups of my daughters' features and sometimes I get excited to scrap those pics. Sometimes it's a kit and I get anxious to use a certain element or paper.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
It depends. I usually start with a picture in mind and build from there.

8. Your favorite snack/drink while you scrap
Always some sort of pop. If you are wondering what pop is.... it's a soda. I love snacking while I scrap, especially on something chocolatey!

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody???
Hmmm. I love reality television, and I scrap while I watch my DVR'd shows (shame!), but I am a multi-tasker :)

3. How long you've been on Lyndsay's team - Ummmm....well I was originally with Lyndsay when she was selling her awesome stuff at Inspiration Lane, then things came up & I had to leave the CT for a while. After things calmed down for me, I came back (thanks Lyndsay!) in December 2009 :)

4. Your favorite Lyndsay product - Seriously just one?! Ummm...then I go with....ummm...Joyous Christmas - I have a thing for Christmas kits & that is one I keep coming back to

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration - my kiddos, looking through various galleries & templates

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper? - If I'm doing a page for a CT then usually I start with the paper/kit & find pictures to fit it. Otherwise it's always the picture.

8. Your favorite snack/drink while you scrap - Chocolate & orange squash (I don't like Tea & I'm not keen on Coffee)

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration - The need to create memories for my family, my children and husband, our family and friends. I just don't want to ever forget all the great times that we've had, all the learning that we've done, and all the relationships that have been built. Time really does fly by and being able to look back on all the things that we've done and accomplished is what drives me to scrap.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper? I usually start knowing what picture I want to use but I usually add my photo last.

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap - I don't really have anything in particular. I try to keep snacking to a minimum since I don't want to get it on my laptop.

Ummm I usually pick my picture first then off to search for the paper I want to use :D

I don't usually snack or drink while scrapping, but chocolate or cheesy twist would be great companions :D

I am an Indonesian currently living in Liverpool United Kingdom, doing a PhD in Computer Science :) I love love love digital-scrapping, because then I don't have to experience a messy traditional paper-scrapping.

4. Your favourite Lyndsay product: i think it changes with every new release but i'm loving "mommy deerest" right now-soooo adorable!

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration: my daughter definitely inspires me but i also get inspiration from just about everything & everywhere i go. templates help when i have a creative block but usually a kit can spark a layout or browsing the galleries can.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
usually with the picture but when it's for a CT, it's the paper. just from looking at a kit, i'll get a layout forming in my mind & already know the pictures to use.

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap: diet coke!! chocolate always helps :) but then i'm wiping off my fingers & that makes the process longer....so just diet coke usually

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody?????
i have an identical twin sister but not very many people know that so i think there's plenty wondering why i have so many different wedding layouts, or family layouts LOL

This is one of my very first layouts using Lyndsay's kits. I love how it turned out! I used Spring Fresh one of my favorite kits!


6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration
My family is the first source of inspiration. Everything we do and the places we go just inspire me. I love to look through galleries too.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
Picture--then I know where I will want to go with the layout.

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap
I don't really snack while I scrapbook. To worried about spilling or crumbs in the keyboard.

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody?????
I am loving my digital scrapbooking experience. I love that my layouts can be digitally preserved and I won't have to worry about the printed copy being handled too much. There is a way to duplicate it! I started designing digital kits last March and now my digital scrapbooking has become an all consuming adventure. Everywhere I go and everything I see--I think I can scrap that! I am meeting so many great and wonderful people everyday who share a love for this hobby. It is so great!

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration
My inspiration is often sparked in either 1 of 2 ways. Sometimes, I will be blessed enough to capture a photograph of one of my nephews that just knocks my socks off and so I am inspired to find a kit to scrap it with. Many other times it is the latest kit one of the designers I work for has created. I will see the kit and know exactly which photo I want to use with it.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
Now that I am on 4 CT's it is usually a kit but I have a folder of "pics to scrap" on my EHD so when the perfect kit comes along, I have my photo(s).

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap
I don't usually snack much while I scrap....I hate constantly wiping my fingers off in between bites (lol). I will either have a cup of coffee or bottle of water sitting next to me though.

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody?????
If you are in the SO forums very much you probably know too much already :) I will leave it at that!

Have you ever wondered about the girls behind layouts? Well here's your chance to get a peek at Lyndsay's Creative Team and I found it only suiting to feature our fearless leader, Di, first!

Just a little over a year now. It's amazing how quick that time has gone.

4. Your favourite Lyndsay product

Boy...there's so many awesome kits to choose from. But if I had to pick one, I'd say Crosswords of Love

It's the layout I made with Crosswords of Love. I love the pics of my DD that I used in the kit. They bring back happy memories.

6. Where do you get/what gives you - your scrapping inspiration
Most of my scrapping is about my DD, Emma. I don't have many pics from my own childhood, so I want to make sure she has memories to look back on. I am also trying to do more layouts about myself, so that there is some sort of 'legacy' when I'm gone. LOL! I love using templates, I love to see a blank canvas come to life with the added papers and elements. I also love looking through the galleries, and getting layout inspiration from the great scrappers in the community.

7. Do you usually start with the picture or the paper?
I usually start with the pic, then match the papers and elements to suit the story or theme I want to portray. Occasionally if I absolutely love a kit or paper, I will scrap the page...and then add the pics later, but this is rare.

8. Your favourite snack/drink while you scrap
I'm a coffee addict, so it's usually coffee. And if I'm really naughty I'll have a Tim Tam (a decadent Australian biscuit - covered in chocolate, chocolate in the middle, you know the sort! You can bite off each end, and suck your coffee up through the middle...it's awesome!)

9. Anything else you want to tell everybody?????
I'm a night owl, rarely going to bed before midnight. It makes getting up in the morning really hard!
